Accessing the Endodontic Network				Workshop and courses
Joining the MES means joining a network of fellow dentists who are enthusiastic about endodontics. Enjoy the fellowship and gain some insights into this intriguing field. Over the years, MES has built up many overseas links. Be on the grapevine for quick access to valuable information related to endodontics. If you want to pick up a few tips on endodontics, this is the place!				As the nature of endodontics is very much hands-on, workshops and courses are the best way to quickly improve your skills. With the presence of well-versed clinicians and lecturers, you stand to benefit much more from these intensive sessions.

Meetings				Endodontic Bulletin
Meetings organised by the MES fall into 2 main categories. Our Evening Lecture Series are popular as these are more social in nature. After a hard day's work, participants get to learn something more about endodontics and enjoy a pleasant dinner at the same time. Although inevitably the conversation turn to dental topics, it is a great way to meet or catch up with friends. The registration fees are nominal as these evening meetings are intended to help bring members together. The full-day meetings tend to be of a more serious nature thought there is always ample opportunity to socialise during the breaks. The trade booths of our sponsors are also well visited as many of the participants take the opportunity to do some shopping and stock up on items for their clinics! The highlight of the MES is our Annual Scientific Meeting. Presentations in the past have included lectures, hands-on workshops, table clinics, 'live' demonstrations on stage and even special product launches! MES members enjoy substantial concessions on the registration fees. A much anticipated event is our biennial joint meeting with our colleagues, the Society of Endodontists, Singapore. This year (2006) will be the fifth meeting and it has grown strength to strength with participation from colleagues in Indonesia and even Hong Kong!				Endodontic Bulletin
				This annual publication is put together by the Editor for MES members. It contains a wealth of information ranging from reports of the Society's activities, proceedings from meetings, review of abstracts from other reputable international journals, articles of interest, clinical case reports and updates on dental equipment.

Endolink Newsletter and E-news
Our newsletter brings you information, announcement of events and the latest updates. In addition, members who have access to e-mail will get newsflashes and updates via this medium. The advantage is that members will receive the information much sooner than by post. In the future, we hope to develop an internet-based forum.

Membership Application Form

Membership

Acceptance of membership is subject to the approval by the Executive Committee of the Malaysian Endodontic Society.

Criteria for Membership :

Life & Ordinary Membership

Life & Ordinary Membership shall be open to dental practitioners who are fully registered with the Malaysian Dental Council, and have not been convicted or had their professional registrations revoked either in Malaysia or overseas. Such persons should demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Executive Committee that they possess genuine interest in the field of Endodontics and are members of the Malaysian Dental Association. They are allowed to vote and hold posts in the Executive Committee of MES.

Fresh graduates (within a year after graduation) will enjoy waiver of the first year's subscription. Documented proof of their status (e.g. photocopies of examination results or degree certificates) must accompany their applications.

Associate Membership

Associate Membership shall be open to dental practitioners fulfilling the above criteria except that he or she may not be registered with the Malaysian Dental Council. This category of membership is applicable to those who are residing outside Malaysia and are members of their respective Endodontic Societies. They are not allowed to vote or hold any position in the Executive Committee of MES.

Correspondence Membership

Correspondence Membership shall be open to Ordinary members who are overseas for the period of more than a year. They are allowed to vote but are not allowed to hold any post in the Executive Committee of MES.

Honorary Membership

Honorary Membership are for those who are chosen by the Executive Committee for their excellent service to the MES or in the field of Endodontics. They are not allowed to vote or to hold any post but are exempted from payment of all membership fees.
