Dr. Salleh b. Zakaria
BDS (Malaya), MPH (OH) (Malaya)

Dr Salleh b. Zakaria is currently the Deputy Director for Oral Health Promotion Section in the Oral Health Programme, Ministry of Health Malaysia. He obtained his dental degree from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur in 1999 and his Master of Public Health (Oral Health) from the same university in 2008. Currently, he is the treasurer of the Malaysian Association of Dental Public Health Specialists and a member of the Islamic Dental Association of Malaysia. He is a member of the Technical Advisory Committee for Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) in the Ministry of Health and has contributed to the development of many CPGs for oral health programmes in Malaysia. He has also been a clinical examiner for numerous national oral health surveys in the country. He was the Benchmark Examiner for Dental Caries in the National Oral Health Survey of Preschool Children in 2015 and the Gold Standard Examiner for Dental Caries in the NHMS 2017: School-based Oral Health Survey. He was the principal author for Chapter 7: Periodontal Status and Treatment Need in the National Oral Health Survey of Adults 2010 (NOHSA 2010) report. He is also a working group member for a number of policy documents for oral health programmes in Malaysia.

Dr Faryna bt Md Yaakub

Dr Faryna bt Md Yaakub graduated with Bachelor of Dental Surgery from University of Malaya in 1995. She obtained her Master of Enforcement Law from Universiti Teknologi Mara in 2013. She is currently serve as Senior Principal Assistant Director , Oral Health Department , Perak Health State Department. Actively involved in legislation and enforcement activities since 2008.

Dr Sofiah binti Mat Ripen

Colonel (Dr) Mohamad Asri is currently the Head, Specialty of Restorative Dentistry & Prosthodontics for the Malaysian Armed Forces Dental Services. He is also a member in the Preliminary Investigation Committee (PIC) for the MDC since 2010.

He holds a BDS from UM and LL.B (Hons) from UiTM. He pursued his postgraduate training in Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics at the Newcastle University, UK from 2000-2004. Colonel Asri’s interests are mainly in implant dentistry, prosthodontics and medico-legal.

Prof Chew Chong Lin

Prof Chew Chong Lin is a full time staff at the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore. He holds the appointment of Professor in Prosthodontics.
He is also Emeritus Consultant, University Dental Cluster at the National University Health System.
He obtained his basic dental degree from University of Singapore in 1971. He then went for further training in Dental Materials, Prosthetic Dentistry and Fixed & Removable Prosthodontics. In 1999, he obtained his PhD from the National University of Singapore.
Prof Chew is a Prosthodontist who teaches in the areas of Dental Materials, Prosthodontics and Dental Implants and is also active in the practice of Prosthodontics.
He is presently the President of the Singapore Dental Council.
